Hi my name is Sam Jones, I’m the founder of SoundThread. SoundThread believes in inspiring creativity alongside helping facilitate sustainable living for developing culturally rich communities.
SoundThread aims to enrich lives and to restore self-worth and hope by advocating equality in creative opportunities. At SoundThread we discover and produce niche music types from around the world, making this available for both music-fans/artists and publishing and licensing agents. We are an online global music hub incorporating a catalogue of music and artist community stories.
More than just a music hub, we work with established culturally rich musical communities from across the world facilitating production and providing a platform for the most interesting and distinct music. We advocate for artistic development and music production in developing, but already culturally-rich artistic communities globally. We help provide a clear production-to-commercialisation route, leading to licensing and publishing opportunities for the artists we work with. We are a relatively young organization, but have been running production projects in Romania and Mexico over the last year or so. This year we plan to work in South Sudan, Kosovo and hopefully the Middle East.
Throughout the production time there is strong focus on training of studio technical excellence to facilitate self-sufficiency and encourage longevity through creative cooperation between musicians and technicians. We’re also very keen to see cross boarder collaboration and genre fusion whilst staying true to indigenous musical heritages.
