Romania Training and Production
SoundThread has been going to Romania for the past 5 years. We have recorded 2 albums and a plan to do further recordings in 2011. We are also part of a annual festival there. We support a charity out there called Neworks who are a group of people are looking to see both physical and spiritual transformation in the communities where we work. This year we teamed up with WigWam Acoustics to offer training aspiring producers and engineers. WigWam Acoustics are one of the largest Sound Design and Instillation, Studio Install companies in Europe.
SoundThread and WigWam acoustics have been partners in supporting this expanding community of artists in rural Romania for over 5 years. This partnership has produced 2 albums and 3 annual concerts, and more planned for 2011.
In 2009 WigWam donated a sound system to the community to use for concerts. In 2010 our partnership organised a series of training workshops for aspiring engineers and producers. We are in the planning stages of organising more training in 2011/12. This was mostly funded by WigWam.
This is now a model SoundThread wants to role out to other creative communities around the world.
